Grants

The Winnick Family Foundation was founded by Karen and Gary Winnick in 1983.

Karen Winnick serves as Executive Director of the Foundation and Gary Winnick is Foundation Trustee. Adam S. Winnick, Alexander H. Winnick, and Matthew E. Winnick are Principal Advisors.

The Foundation focuses giving in the program areas of education, literacy, health care, art, culture, animal welfare and the needs of populations and communities at risk around the world.

Among many contributions, The Winnick Family Foundation has funded scholarships at some of the nation’s leading universities, given the lead gift to the Clinician Research Center at Cedars Sinai Hospital and Mr. Winnick was a foundation investor in Birthright Israel.

The Foundation encourages project-specific programs but also selectively supports capital campaigns and unrestricted gifts to grantee organizations. There is a preference for projects in Los Angeles and New York. The Winnick Family Foundation does not publish an annual report or grant list.
